During my years as a Deputy District Attorney, and a prosecutor for the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) and Douglas County Drug Court I witnessed the positive effect and influence that accountability had on the lives of people who have committed crimes and people whose lives have been turned upside-down by drug use.  As a judge, I know I can have a greater impact on the lives of the people who come before me in court, their families and the citizens of Douglas County.

Accountability is not just for those facing justice.  It applies to me as well.  I will be accountable to the citizens of Douglas County in my effort to ensure fair and impartial application of the law for all.
